books.
as you can see [or will in a few minutes], i'm not a real big reader but i have opened a book or two. i'm currently reading a book called NOBODY NOWHERE, about an autistic girl. no, not artistic. it's pretty good. wasn't all i hoped it would be, but it's held my interest.
being in rebecca's room was very exciting for chase. so many new experiences. the kissing, the touching, the exploring. and then rebecca walked in.
rating. 5 stars = good. 0 stars = bad. not a real original system. * * * *

THE LOOP. * * * * *
this parrot flies into this guy's home and he says all this weird stuff so the guy tries to figure out where the bird came from. reeallly good.

NOBODY NOWHERE. * * *
story about an autisitc girl. didn't actually FINISH the book. got about four fifths of the way through. it wasn't as interesting as i thought it would be. but not a total bore.

CATCHER IN THE RYE. * * * * *
this guy just got kicked out of his fourth highschool. he's basically just walking around the streets talking about his life. this was the first novel i ever read by choice. i read it on a plane, and now everytime i smell that stale stench of peanuts/pretzels and coffee, i think of catcher in the rye. anyway, after i read this, i started picking up new books. it was sort of like a beginning for me. the beginning of a future. and not just any future, a book reading future.

DANCE REAL SLOW. * * * * *
a man who is raising his son, calvin, as a single parent. i liked this. i lost the book though, so i can't quote it exactly, so i think what i'm about to do is illegal, but let's just call it flexible paraphrasing. excerpt from dance real slow:
"calvin eats dirt."
that's what a lot of the book about. isn' t that interesting? i thought it was, in that deep, dirt-eating kind of way.

OF MICE AND MEN. * * * * *
retarded guy and smart guy go around finding work during the depression. one of the sadest books. one of the shortest too. so, if you're not a big reader, you might want to go for this one.

MONDO BARBIE. * * * * *
this is a book of short stories and poems. all about barbies. i never actually read the whole book. i bought it as a birthday present for one of my friends [SUSAN. are you happy now? jk.] and i glanced through it, well read as much as i could in a 4 hour period before i gave it to her. i really liked it. it's very weird- talks about pre-teen boys "dating" and "doing" their sister's barbies. now if that doesn't grab your attention, i don't know what will.

ROMEO AND JULIET. * * * * *
extremely intelligent lovers kill each one another because the other one was SLEEPING. just because the other person has their fricken eyes closed they automatically assume their dead. i hate shakespeare. i do. i really do. first off, we don't even know for sure if shakespeare was the true author of these stories. even if he was, he didn't make them up himself- they were folk tales to start off with. okay...so the guy can rhyme? big whoopy-dee-do. i'm sure there isn't a soul out there who doesn't know who shakespeare is, and still what has he contributed?? crap. that's what i say. think about people who write musicals. they have to sit down and think of a tune. then write every note for every instrument in the orchestra. then put it to words, that rhyme, mind you, and choreograph it. i think way deep down inside a lot of people think shakespeare is boring, we're all just so brainwashed we forget to READ his material before we fall in love with it. he was just in the right place at the right time if you ask me.

SHE'S COME UNDONE. * * * * *
girl named dolores has a really hard life. plus she gets enormously fat. WINNER OF THE "BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN AWARD". award voted upon by myself.
